A member of Largs Community Council has demanded that extensive debris be removed from the Gogo Burn to prevent more flooding as “only half a job” has been done on it so far.
Mr Harry McEachan told last week’s meeting of the committee that further work still had to be carried out to avoid a repeat of floods that swept through Largs in late September causing devastation to town centre properties.
He called on North Ayrshire Council to look at potential blockages further up the Gogo Burn and immediately remove them.
The councillor said: “They did deal with the trees that were blocking, but they only did half a job." Full story in this week's Largs News.
