It was an amazing trip down memory lane after a video appeared on our Facebook site showcasing the popular Marine and Curlinghall Hotel in Largs during the early 1980s.
The short promotional feature, which was groundbreaking for its period, is a marvellous way to see inside the architectural gem before it made way for housing. The video clip has received 250 views during the weekend alone since appearing at www.facebook.com/largsandmillportnews and sparked plenty of comment.
Donald White recalled: "I have so many happy memories of this hotel. Good to see Ernest Lanni creating his cocktails. I remember him serving me for my birthday," Roslyn Mitchell commented: "What a great video! I went there on my P5 school trip not long before it closed, and used to explore all the surrounding buildings after it closed down.
