Scotland's Boat Show 2012 takes to the water and shore at Kip Marina, Inverclyde this weekend and at the same time looks to raise money for Help for Heroes, the military charity.

With record numbers of boats on view and an attendance of over 12,000 predicted, the biggest boat show in Scotland is keeping with the military theme as visitors can enjoy the West of Scotland Military Wives Choir who will be performing twice on Sunday 14th fresh from recording their new album scheduled for a Christmas release.

With more than 150 new and pre-owned boats for sale highlights of the show i Scotland's Boat Show 2012 will be officially opened at 11am of Friday 12th October by Humza Yousaf MSP, Minister for International Development who said in advance of the show ""Scotland has a rich maritime heritage and more than 6,000 miles of spectacular coastline. Our sailing tourism market accounts for more than �100 million expenditure per year and support around 2,700 FTE jobs. Scotland's Boat Show attracts visitors from all across Scotland, the UK and Europe and showcases the very best that our sailing and boating industry has to offer. I am delighted to have been asked to open this event and congratulate the organisers and staff at Kip Marina for their excellent work putting on such an impressive show."
