Stunning footage of the recent Fife Regatta has been beamed around the world on Thursday after international news network, American based CNN, broadcast a half hour documentary on the event.

This invitation only event invited the famous Fife Yachts to return to their birthplace on the Clyde and to participate in a unique regatta which took place last month, in celebration of the memory of William Fife and his legacy for spectacular 'fast and bonnie' .

The CNN sailing programme, presented by Olympic gold medallist Shirley Robertson, included interviews with the international crews of the Fife ships, local Fife historians John MacFie, and author May Koln, who is a member of the Fife family.

Viewers have a last chance to catch it on tv on Saturday morning at 7.30am, but it is also available to watch online at http://edition.cnn.com/CNNI/Programs/main.sail/
