It is a special homecoming for Alice Boyle, daughter of Lord Glasgow, as she brings her latest art exhibition to Kelburn Country Centre after a successful event in Mayfair.

And despite showcasing her work to great acclaim in London, Alice admits to still getting nervous before an exhibition, home or away! Her latest display will centre on the colder climate in November, and she hopes to bring out the glorious colours in late autumn to winter.

Alice said: ‘I have now moved back to Scotland and have been asked by many people to do an exhibition of my work locally which I thought was a great idea. Kelburn Pavilion has just been done up, so I thought it would be a perfect place to have a show. The show is at the end of November so everyone will be feeling the cold by then, and as my work is so colourful, I thought I would call it, ‘Colour in the Cold’, as winter on the west coast can be a little bleak’.

Alice has now had five solo art shows in London and many group shows throughout Britain, but she hopes to exhibit more in Scotland. In February 2013 , she showed some of her work in, The Doubtfire Gallery, in Edinburgh and in 2012 The Booker Prize winner, Ben Okri, chose one of Alice’s paintings to publicise the first stage adaptation of one of his stories, ‘The Comic Destiny’, at Edinburgh’s Fringe Festival. ‘Colour in the Cold’, will display roughly about 25 of my limited edition prints (limited edition of 15) and about 5 original paintings.

Alice revealed: “I really hope many people come; even though I have done this quite a few time now you still get very nervous’.

The exhibition runs from the 25th of November to the 1st of December, and opens daily from 11am to 6pm. Admission is free.
