To celebrate the end of its first term, members of the newly established Largs Rock Choir made its debut performance at Nardinis restaurant.

The members joined forces with the Kilmacolm Rock Choir to sing together a couple of the songs they have been learning this term.

Music leader Rock Choir Music Leader Jennifer Sim said: “The Largs Rock Choir started in September and I thought it would bring the end of term to a nice conclusion by getting the members to sing at a well known local venue.” The members sang Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colours’ and ‘Just The Way You Are’ - a Bruno Mars track. Over 55 members took to the floor and sang the impromptu set, before tucking into a fish tea.

Jennifer said “Performing in public can be quite daunting, especially if you haven’t sung in front of an audience before. Singing in the Nardinis Café was a really nice place for the choir to make its first local performance.” Christmas break The current term has come to a successful conclusion and will return after the Christmas break on Tuesday 14th January when the choir will be learning songs by Olly Murs, Electric and Adele. If you would like to consider joining the Largs Rock Choir you can book a free taster session on-line, www.rockchoir.com. There is no audition and no requirement to read music.
