Amid glorious sunshine and big crowds on Largs seashore, the Red Devils added as a spectacular turn to bring the curtain down on a very successful Viking Festival.
Five team members jumped from an altitude of up to 10,000ft. Trailing smoke to demonstrate their speed and movement, the highly skilled skydivers were in freefall at speeds of up to 120mph before deploying their parachutes. Once safely under canopy, team members demonstrated breathtaking, high-speed “Swoops” and spectacular “Canopy Formations” – both unique to parachute displays in the UK – before landing in the sea off the promenade.
