Millport Post Office is currently closed after severe winds caused damage to above the premises.
The area outside the premises is cordoned off, after an unstable chimney caused concern.
The Post Office is aware of the inconvenience caused and hope to have it re-open ‘soon’ but they have no further details as yet.
Cunninghame North MSP Kenneth Gibson has been kept abreast of developments, and said: “Millport Post Office provides a vital service to and for the local community. I am keen that once the chimney is secured, the post office re-opens as soon it is safe to do so.”
