OIR

The next General Meeting of the OIR will be held on Wednesday 6 April in Clark Memorial Church Hall. The Sundown Players will perform a sketch ‘First Night Nerves’ and a one act Comedy ‘White Lies’. This should be a very entertaining afternoon and after the performance an Easter Afternoon Tea will be served. All members are invited so come along and bring a friend. New members will be made very welcome.
Bosom Buddies
The next Bosom Buddies get together will be on Tuesday 5 April at 2pm in the Lounge, Main Street, Largs. Bosom Buddies is your local friendly support group who have all experienced cancer. They offer comfort, friendship, advice and support to anyone who has cancer or going through treatment. Please come along and bring a friend or family member. All are welcome for tea or coffee. Coffee morning
Largs Churches Holiday Club coffee morning takes place on Saturday 9 April - £2 ticket, various stalls, plants and baking etc at Clark Memorial Church Hall. Registration will take place on the coffee morning for the holiday club which will be from 1-5 August this year

Largs Lads Club is taking place on the Thursday 31 March from 3pm-5pm at the masonic hall in Frazer Street, Largs. The monthly group has been set up by the Dementia Support Service of North Ayrshire Council as a way of encouraging men with dementia to be able to enjoy and relive moments of sporting history. 
Film Society
Largs Film Society will screen “Still Life” on Friday 1 April - A council case worker looks for the relatives of those found dead and alone. The society screens films on Fridays at 7.30 every three weeks from September to May in the Valhalladrome of the Vikingar! Doors open at 7pm and there will be a brief introduction to each film five minutes before screening. Although membership is now full for Season 2015-2016, guests can be admitted at a cost of £5, subject to the seating capacity of the Valhalladrome (Over 18s only). www.largsfilmsociety.co.uk

Coffee Morning
The Largs Branch, Royal British Legion Scotland will be holding a Coffee Morning in St Johns Church Hall on Saturday 9 April from 10am-12 noon in aid of The Royal British Legion Scotland’s “Give a Little for a Veteran “ appeal. Admission £2 payable on the door. Come in and rest a while and enjoy some home baking, stalls and raffle.
Car Boot
The first of the seasons Car Boot Sales is on Saturday 9th April, so start clearing out the attic and come along down to St. Columba’s Scottish Episcopal church, Aubery Crescent, Largs, to meet the local community. Be sure to book a pitch by phoning 686213 or contacting us through our Facebook page. Cars £7 Vans £11 Tables £5 on their own, sellers arrive 8am. Opens for buyers after 9am till 1pm
Rail Group
The next meeting of the Ayrshire Railway Preservation Group will be on Wednesday, April 6, at 7.45pm in Geordie's Byre, Ayr. The speakers will be Hamish Stevenson and David Hall, who will present a selection of photographs taken across Scotland by the late Roy Crombie. Age Concern
The winners of the Age Concern prize draw held in the AD Cameron Centre, Lade Street , Largs on Monday 28 March were as follows: 1 Liz Lothian, 2 Christine McArthur, 3 Margaret Fairclough, 4 Fiona Hunter, 5 Betty Bull, all win vouchers to use in Morrisons supermarket.

Thursday May 12 - Outing to Callendar followed by a cruise on Loch Katrine and high tea at The Forth Inn in Aberfoyle. Monies and names for this trip will be taken on Monday 4 April between 10 am and 12 noon. The cost for the outing is £25. The winner of the monthly raffle for March was Mary Ryan.
