People coming to the Field Studies Centre in Millport can discover how to eat better quality food AND save money.

Kenneth Gibson MSP was recently on hand to launch the “Eat Yourself Healthy” programme thanks to an innovative concept.

The scheme is aimed to address the debilitating effects of health and poverty within a community.

This comes from the Fairlie based Greenway Training team, an international collaboration between Scottish, Austrian and Southern African soil health and natural crop growing experts who are all committed to reducing the dependency of the poorest communities on unsustainable outside support for survival.

This will be the first of many workshops to be held at this fine new venue, stated Kenneth.

The main focus of the programme is to develop and train people in natural methods for growing and using healthy food from pots on a balcony to beds in a garden, empowering the most needy to feed their own families and more. People coming to the Field Station will discover how to eat better quality food AND save money.
