Royal Visit
Princess Anne opened the Boat Show at Kip Marina on Friday 14 October. After opening the show and unveiling a plaque to commemorate the event she visited areas of the show.The exhibitors in the Food and Drink Pavilion and the Lifestyle people with their crafts were pleased when the Princess took time to talk to the exhibitors before leaving the show.
Inverkip Primary
The school is still looking for foreign coins and children can still add to those already collected. Fundraising by entering a Sponsored Obstacle Course took place during the week.
The Friday Zone
The club is looking for items for their crafts, milk cartons, cardboard tubes, Pringle tubs and lids and jam jars are asked for along with Beer bottle tops. Theses can be handed into the Inverkip Church Hall.
Badminton
Inverkip Church Badminton Club meet on a Monday evening in the Church Hall at 7.45pm/ Anyone 15 yrs. And over will be most welcome. Further information can be had from Margaret Polea: 520380.
Cornalees Farm
An application to renovate the farm building known as Cornalees Farm, on the Loch Thom road, has been lodged with the planning department. To save this building it is hoped that the application to make it into two dwellings will be passed by the department.
Inverkip Guild
The next meeting of Inverkip Guild is on Tuesday 25 October at 7.30pm in the Bonomy Room of the Church Hall when Alison Bunce will talk on the Ardgowan Hospice.
Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay Church
The Café Church meets in the upper meeting room of Skelmorlie Community Centre at 7.30pm on Wednesday. Tea and cakes will be available.
Friendship Club
There is a chance to meet and talk over tea at the Friendship Circle in Skelmorlie Church Hall on Tuesday 25 October. 2-4pm. Transport can be arranged, phone Rita on529289.
Friday Soup
The Friday Soup run by Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay Church is on again for the winter. Soup and filled rolls and tea or coffee is served from 12.15am.
Fellowship Group
The next meeting of the S.W.I.F group is on Thursday 27 October in Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay Church at 2.30pm when there will be a talk entitled Pastels for the Petrified, by Graham Dexter.
Prize Giving
Inverkip Bowling Club held their annual Prize Giving and Trophy’s were awarded to players.
Quiz Night

Meigle Woman’s Institute
The Institute meet in Skelmorlie Community Centre on Thursday 20th October when there will be a demonstration by Karon Grieve (informed that’s how she spells her name) entitled “Foodie Gifts for Christmas” A warm welcome is extended to all those interested.
