It has been all go for Abby Kane during recent weeks since her return from Rio with a silver medal.
On Tuesday, the 13 year old starlet was at Buckingham Palace and taking part in a reception for Paralympic athletes at Trafalgar Square, and Abby recently received a trophy from Scottish swimming in recognition of her global achievements.
After a special homecoming party where she lives in Braeside Avenue, Abby has been very much in demand, having made an appearance on The John Beattie show on Radio Scotland, as she returns to her studies at Largs Academy.
Abby received the female junior Athlete of the Year awards at the Sport Scotland awards, which was also attended by her coach Sharon McIntyre.
Speaking to the 'News' on Monday before her big trip to London last week, Karen said: "It was very exciting for Abby, and possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to Buckingham Place. The official invite came through last week to go to the reception at Buckingham Place including the Queen and Prince Philip, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry."
