North Ayrshire Conservatives recently held their annual Burns Supper in the Seamill Hydro Hotel recently. The main speakers provided thoughtful and amusing speeches being Charles Currie from Blackwaterfoot, Isle of Arran, who proposed the Immortal Memory of Robert Burns (Charles is a son of the famous Reverend James Currie well known for his love of Burns), Robert Forman, Chairman of the Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party from Edinburgh who proposed the Toast to the Lassies and Councillor Gail Macgregor, Dumfries and Galloway Council, who ably replied on behalf of the Lassies.
