Meigle Institute
The meeting on Thursday April 20 will be the last one of the session. A talk entitled “The underground railroad” will be given by Rita Carmichael before tea. The AGM will follow this.
New Club
There has been intimation that the Wemyss Bay Community Centre will be taking registrations for a new Youth Connections on Friday 21st. The registrations are to gage interest and what could be on offer to the young folk. The proposed club on a Friday evening run by Professional Youth Workers will be from 7.30 to 9.30pm.
Hypnotherapy Sessions
There will be a chance to find out about Hypnotherapy at Inverkip Hub on Thursday April 20 at 6.30. The session lasts from 6.30 to 8pm.
Music and Movement
Inverkip Hub was offering a chance for parents and youngsters less than 3 years the chance to attend a Boogie and Movement Session on 12th April.
School Tokens
Parents are being reminded that if they shop in Sainsbury’s to ask for their Active School tokens for their child’s school’
Easter Services
Inverkip, Skelmorlie and Wemyss Bay and St Joseph’s and St Patricks churches have been celebrating the Easter Message. The week began with a Passover Meal on Monday evening. Services for each evening of Holy Week will have been held to mark this time of the Christian year.
Scouts
The 85th Troop was out on their bikes at Whitelee Wind farm in great weather. They certainly looked as if they enjoyed the trip going by their pictures. There were still some with energy left at the end of the cycle ride and they went on to swim at Greenock Leisure Centre to finish their Swimming Badges.
