Keep the date for your diaries ... Fairlie is gearing up for its new nautical themed gala day on Saturday 19 August.
The raft race returns to the village beach for the first time in decades, and is looking for entries.
Also on the day. there will be Firth of Clyde Coastal Rowing group rib trips, a custard pie fight, facepainting, birds of prey, bottle stall, barbecue, licensed bar with real ales, and live music from ‘Crisis’.
There will also be tours of the organic garden, pond dipping, a Peter Pan trail for younger children, a duck dipping game and other children’s activities organised in the garden.
There will also be a fundraiser with a prize to raise funds for a defibrillator for the garden.
