One half of Gallagher and Lyle, Benny Gallagher returns to Largs for a homecoming gig, and will be performing some of the band's much loved songs.
He is performing in Lounge restaurant on Sunday 11 and Monday 12 February.
Benny formed a formidable musical partnership with Graham Lyle and stormed the charts with the hits ‘When I’m Dead And Gone’ and ‘Malt And Barley Blues’ as part of McGuinness Flint.
The West of Scotland duo then came up with classics like ‘I Wanna Stay With You’ and ‘Heart On My Sleeve’, sealing their status as Scotland’s top singer/songwriting partnership.
Following the success of Largs Players 'Caledonia USA' production in 2016, Benny praised both Largs Academy and Largs Players for their talent and expertise, and revealed when he told his school teacher he wanted to be a singer, he was offered a paintbrush, and told to get painting, such was the lack of enthusiasm towards the arts when he was young!
And he made a special point of praising the audiences who come out and support musicians at gigs, and said that that backing was crucial for Gallagher and Lyle's development.
