The Millport Curling Club recently went on an annual stay to the North West Castle Hotel in Stranraer where they play for their Argyll Quaich.
This is an internal club competition played on a round robin format. The four Millport teams play three games each over a two day period,. The hotel has its own curling rink inside, so no travelling in inclement weather is required during the stay. The winning rink this year was Max Sharp, Chris Reekie, Anne Mapes and David Cameron (skip). As usual, a great time was had by all.
Anyone who is interested in joining Millport Curling Club does not necessarily reside on the island ,as many of our players are mainland based. Information about the club can be had from David Cameron on 01475 530549.
