Following the highly successful concerts given in Millport last weekend by Sonoro the community choir, a special concert will be given by students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in the Cathedral of The Isles on Sunday at 4pm.
The performers, who are all studying at the Conservatoire in Glasgow come from several different countries, so the concert will have an international as well as a youthful flavour, and the songs will come from Austria, Norway, France and Spain as well as Scotland and America.
The singers will be Myrna Tennant (soprano), Alexandra Dinwiddie (mezzo-soprano), Euan Williamson (tenor), and Laurens Macklon (baritone) all accompanied by Jose Javier Ucendo Malo (piano).
It will be exciting to hear these top young soloists performing , early in their careers, in the lovely acoustic of the Cathedral. As usual entry will be free with a retiring collection. Everyone will be made welcome. Please note the starting time of 4pm.
