A blaze on the back hills of Largs sparked an emergency response.
On Wednesday 30 May, billowing smoke was seen from farmland behind the town after a warm afternoon.
A spokeswoman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 5.54pm on Wednesday, May 30 to gorse on fire in Largs.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire engines to Bellsdale Avenue where firefighters extinguished the fire.
“Crews left at 6.30pm after ensuring the area was made safe.”
