THE great outdoors was celebrated style as visitors to Largs Farmers Show soaked up the sunshine and enjoyed a top class line-up of entries.
The overall champion on the day was a Highland Pony owned by Shona Adams.
As ever, it was a fantastic fun day out for all the family with lots happening and the stars of the show were of course the farm animals who were in 'a field of their own'.
There was a good turnout in the light horse section and horses and owners made their way around the jumping course.
Meanwhile youngsters enjoyed the bouncy castle, tea cups ride, beat the goalie and face painting, with burgers and ice-cream on sale to keep everyone's hunger at bay.
In the afternoon there was a presentation of prizes by president William Scott’s wife Sheila.
William thanked all who had helped to make the show such a success and praised all the sponsors whose support was much appreciated.
After the presentation the children’s races took place, including flat race and sack race, with the winners enjoying ice-cream from John Harkins of Bay Ices.
It was another successful show – and plans are already afoot for next year's on Saturday June 8 2019!
The William Adams Cup, presented to the Champion of Champions, went to Highland Pony Lady Skye of Auchengarth, showed by Saskia Adams of Skelmorlie, on behalf of mother Shona.
The Champion of Champions award was sponsored by John and Dorothy Scott, Bushglen, West Kilbride Tractors and Machinery Sales & Service.
