Scotland TranServ will be resurfacing 800 metres of the A78 between Bankfoot and Inverkip resulting in 7 nights of road closures.

The works will be carried out under a series of overnight closures, running from Monday 23 until Monday 30 of July.

Traffic management will be implemented at 8pm each evening and lifted at 6am the following morning.

Due to the nature of the trunk road network in this area of South West Scotland, diversion routes are significant and will add additional time onto journeys.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys in advance, and to check trafficscotland.org, or to follow @trafficscotland on Twitter for live trunk road updates.

Further diversion information is also available on the Scotland TranServ website.

The is part of Transport Scotland’s strategic £243k trunk road management programme.
