LARGS lifeboat and a coastguard helicopter were called in to action following reports of people in the water at the marina.
The lifeboat dispatched from the station at 2.30pm following a call that two young females had fell in the water near Largs Yacht Haven after being out on boogie boards.
The team launched a search and rescue however the young girls were well equipped with wetsuits and lifejackets and were able to return to the shore at Largs marina themselves.
The Coastguard had been returning from a call at Tignabruigh and landed at marina to offer the service of their paramedics.
Both girls were checked over and given the all clear before the lifeboat returned to the station an hour later.
The lifeboat and helicopter returned to their respective bases, with Largs lifeboat being rehoused at 3.25pm.
This launch followed on from an earlier request at 1.40pm for Largs lifeboat to launch to report of a further two persons in the water in the Kyles of Bute.
While the volunteer crew were preparing to launch, information was received that these two persons had been recovered and thus the launch was cancelled.
