The last sailings by Paddle Steamer Waverley in 2018 from Largs due to take place this weekend have been cancelled.
Waverley recently celebrated her 72nd birthday on October 2 and since leaving her home waters of the Clyde in August she has been sailing as an Ambassador for Scotland - sailing from Liverpool and North Wales, on the Bristol Channel, the South Coast and currently sailing on the River Thames and through London’s famous Tower Bridge.
A statement on the Waverley website stated as follows: "Waverley's sailings will not take place on October 13 and 14 as weather conditions are not suitable to allow the ship to reposition to Scotland in time.
"We apologise for any inconvenience. Transfer your tickets to 2019 or return for a refund."
