To coincide with the start of the Great War Centenary commemorations the Millport and Isle of Cumbrae Roll of Honour has been published.
The booklet tells the story of the men from the island who went to war and did not return. It includes short biographies of the 42 men named on the War Memorial, and those of a further 17 men from or associated with Millport who also died in the war.
On Saturday a copy was presented to Millport Library which is now available for reference
The Millport and Isle of Cumbrae Roll of Honour compliments the Largs Roll of Honour which was published last year. Both are available for sale with all proceeds going to Erskine Homes, a charity dedicated to supporting Ex-Servicemen in Scotland.
