Motorists have been warned that there is a road closure taking place on the trunk road in Fairlie this Sunday.
The 'News' understands the reason for the road closure is maintenance being carried out by Scottish Water.
A spokeswoman said: "Scottish Water’s contractor Kier is carrying out emergency work to replace covers on a manhole, a toby, and a fire hydrant. A road closure will be in place on Sunday from 9.30am – 3.30pm to allow the work to be carried out safely. Diversions will be in place and the road closure will be lifted as soon as the work has been completed. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this work is under way."
