The Cathedral of The Isles and The College of The Holy Spirit joined the Millport community and other friends to say a sad and fond farewell to Andrew and Amanda Wright.

Andrew and Amanda left their position as wardens of The College at The Cathedral of The Isles.

Their time on the Isle of Cumbrae has seen welcome changes to the relationship of The Cathedral and College and its life as part of the local community.

Everyone has come to know them and to enjoy their open hospitality and welcome. They will be sadly missed by all.

At a recent reception in the college a large number of their friends joined together to show their gratitude and made a joint presentation to them as they move back to Edinburgh.

Andrew and Amanda have achieved so much in their time here in enriching worship in The Cathedral, in hospitality to the numerous guests at The College, and in their membership and involvement in many island activities including The Millport Art Studio, the Sonoro Choir, the local radio, the curling club, the Historical society and many others.

Their genuine Christian care and compassion coupled with their ever available pastoral care has been deeply respected.

Everyone wish them every blessing in their new life in Edinburgh and hope that their gifts and abilities will flourish as they rejoin the congregation at St John’s Episcopal Church, Princes Street.

All wish them every success in their new life and work together.
