Greenock Philharmonic Choir is delighted to announce that the Riverside Youth Band will be joining them for their Christmas concert this year.
The annual Christmas concert is always a great success and eagerly anticipated.
The big event will be taking place in the Lyle Kirk, Newark Street building on Saturday 15 December at 7.30pm. Doors open at 7pm.
The music will include Bach, Vaughan Williams, and lots of Christmas favourites such as 'Mary's Boy Child', 'Follow that Star' and some carols for everybody to join along with.
The choir is conducted by Andrew McTaggart and accompaniment will be by organist Hugh Reid.
Riverside Youth Band is an award winning youth brass band based in Port Glasgow, Inverclyde, established in 2012.
Passionate about providing 'opportunities through music', the band has a love of community and music making at its core.
Building on the foundations laid by Lynda Nicholson, musical director Mark Good has led the band to great success with a number of competition titles, sell out concerts, and performances.
Tickets are priced £10, under 12s free and this includes refreshments.
