The Cancer Research UK Largs Committee have been extremely busy and productive over the last few months.
On 18th October, the Annual Lunch was supported by 70 ladies who had a most enjoyable time at Strathclyde House, Skelmorlie.
A total of £927 was raised from donations and raffle.
On 3rd November, there was an annual bridge afternoon, including a beautiful afternoon tea supplied and served by committee members and friends.
On this occasion £738 was again raised from donations and a successful raffle.
The Largs branch of CRUK wish to thank both local businesses and Largs public for their generosity.
Taking into account the above amounts and various donations during the year the committee are delighted to send a cheque for £1,800 to CRUK for the benefit of Research at The Beatson Institute, Glasgow. It gives us all great satisfaction knowing that all monies raised here in Largs will remain in Scotland.
