Although the festive night on Friday 7 December, which is normally the start of the festive weekend was cancelled because of the weather, on Saturday a marvellous festive day took place.
Santa was in his grotto on Saturday on Mapes cycle shop and the grotto was magical, and approximately 60 kids visited, and all received a lovely gift courtesy of Debs and Scott Ferris of Mapes.
A great Christmas fayre took place in The Garrison by Cumbrae Primary and the fancy dress run took place with a good number of people.
The prize for the best dressed bike went to Leo and Rhona Christie who are cousins.
Christmas films were shown in Our Lady church and the candlelit parade took place on Saturday evening to say goodbye to Santa from the grotto to the Garrison.
A big thank you to Santa, Debs and Scott and also Lesley Cunningham for the juice and crisps in the grotto.
