It was a fantastic festive scene in Skelmorlie as the Christmas tree switch on was a fantastic community event.
Indeed, the event was very well attended at the community centre last Thursday and everybody had a good time in tinsel town.
Among the revellers was Fiona Riddell who said: "It was a lovely evening and good to see this happening in Skelmorlie - big thanks to all those who worked so hard to make it happen!"
As well as carol singing, children from Skelmorlie Primary switched on the tree, and there was the traditional mulled wine and mince pies.
