Reports of a 'distressed woman' in West Kilbride led to a fulsome police response.
A number of police cars and vans were seen at the railway car park at 2.55pm on 16 January.
A polic spokesman said: "Police Scotland received reports from a concerned member of the public regarding a distressed female in Cubrieshaw Street, West Kilbride.
"Officers attended, the female was checked over by ambulance however she did not require any further treatment.
"No further police action was required."
