CUMBRAE Burns Club held its Annual Nicht Wi’ Burns at the Field Studies Council in Millport.
The evening was attended by 70 members and guests and the evening was chaired by club president Sandy Fleming.
The Immortal Memory was proposed by John McShane who has written a book on Burns’ life in Edinburgh.
Proposing the Toast to Cumbrae Burns Club was Rev Jonathan Fleming, our local minister. Toast to Oor Guests was made by Jim Hamilton.
The appeal for the Burns Memorial Homes was made by Gerry Armour II, with a sum of over £400 being raised.
The Toast to the Guid Man in the Chair was given by Cameron Hughes. Alasdair McIntyre gave the address to the haggis which was piped in by Dugald McIntyre.
Recitations and songs were provided by John Orr, Alastair Chisholm and Sandy Fleming. Gordon Barr thanked the artistes.
