Council gardeners have been praised for clearing the path between Fairlie and Largs Yacht Haven.
It was particularly good news for the new Cycling without Age group based at Fairlie community garden.
They said that they were delighted that the cycle path has been cleared by the council's Streetscene squad after a huge pile of rubble and debris had been blocking the path.
They are hoping to be fully set up soon to be able to take people rides in the area on their tri-shaw bikes.
A spokesperson added: "It is good fun, we were all on a training run to test routes and look at cycle path barriers.
"We will be taking bookings for rides soon."
