Friends of Millport Town Hall held a fundraiser on Saturday 9 March which was a race night.
A truly fantastic night with over £4000 raised thanks to the incredible generosity and support from Millport people, friends, relatives and supporters.
There were many donations of items for raffle and auction and local pubs and businesses played their part in helping to raise the funds.
Many thanks to Cumbrae Community Development Company for their generous help in printing the race leaflets - an indication of how well island groups are coming together to support the Town Hall initiative and how a new working together ethos is being consolidated.
Angie McCallum, Chair of the steering group said “This was Millport at its best. Having such a large amount of money raised is a great indication of the breadth of support in the community for this project. Our vision is to regenerate the Town Hall into a multi use facility for future generations. Results of the feasibility study will be presented to the community on Saturday 30 March - DA Hall."
"Come for free tea, coffee and chat at 11am with the presentation starting at 11.30am."
