Roadworks are taking place at the Hunterson (Clydeport) railway bridge over the coming days.
The works began today (Tuesday) and continue on till Thursday.
Network Rail are involved.
The estimated duration of the works being three working days.
A spokesman for Network Rail said: "We’ll be working at night between 22:00 and 06:00 to carry-out a structural assessment of the bridge as part of our regular maintenance regime.
"The road won’t be completely closed, but temporary traffic lights will be in place as we’ll need to close off sections of the road each night to complete the inspections."
