It's a platform of opportunity for a new business at Largs Railway Station.

Offering a friendly welcome, Stephen Townley has re-opened the hot food and drinks kiosk, and it's the perfect place to pick up a coffee, sandwich or hot roll, if you are in a hurray on the way to catching the train.

Stephen is being joined by his father Tommy in the daily operation of the new facility.

The family duo have taken over the running of the premises within the ticket office to provide a range of tasty snacks and drinks for all passengers.

Opening at 6.30am in the morning in time for the first train at 6.42am, it continues throughout the day until 4pm each week day, and is also open on Saturday till 2pm.

Stephen said: "We are doing sandwiches, hot and cold drinks, hot breakfast rolls, wraps, chocolates, crisps and sweets, so there is plenty to choose from.

"When I saw that the kiosk was available, I thought it would be a good space with a regular flow of customers, and it means you can pick up something just before getting on board the train, on indeed, after leaving.

"There will be Nescafe and PG Tips on offer, and a good selection of hot and cold freshly prepared food each day."

So get on the right track to start your day with a visit to the Largs Train Station Kiosk which is also on Facebook.
