A planning application has been made to convert a hairdressing salon into a house in Millport.
Lynda's Salon would change from a retail outlet to a private property under the proposal for 52 Glasgow Street which has been submitted to North Ayrshire Council recently.
It would be a change of use to a dwelling flat according to the application.
Despite a range of adverts in various publications online and in print, applicant James Thomson stated that there had been no sign of interest when the business was put up to let during recent months.
Mr Thomson said: "I've not had any sign of interest for all my efforts in trying to rent out my shop so my next route is to apply for change of use to a residential property."
North Ayrshire planners will make a decision on the change of use during the coming weeks.
