Coping with climate change, seal level rises, and marine litter features in a new marine masterplan.
The draft Clyde regional marine plan addresses a wide variety of issues such as coastal change, the spread of non-native species, and marine litter around our coasts and within the sea.
The plan also focusses on sustainable development including sea fisheries; aquaculture; sport, recreation and tourism; shipping, ports, harbours and ferries.
The pre-consultation draft of the Clyde Regional Marine Plan is now available on the Clyde Marine Planning Partnership website for public comment with a closing date of 27 May.
There are also a series of public events being held around the region including at the Brisbane Centre, Largs on 11 May, 6pm-9pm.
Questions must be emailed in advance to info@clydemarine.scotland, include the event you are planning to attend.
People from Millport should let the organisers know and their questions will be answered first to give them time to catch the last ferry.
