A sports manager at Inverclyde Centre in Largs was staging a sponsored cycle on Wednesday to help charities in Thailand.
Gareth Turner is marking his selection for the Scotland Over 35 football squad by raising money for the trip to the Far East where the senior players will not only take part in a 'World Cup' tournament but will visit villages in Thailand to distribute strips and equipment to youngsters.
Some of Gareth's colleagues at the Sportscotland centre will also join in the static cycle marathon which should cover hundreds of virtual miles.
The cycle challenge got underway at 8am this morning.
Sports centre spokeswoman Kirsty Page said: "Pop by our cafe between 8am and 6pm tomorrow and show your support. Good luck Gareth!"
