Fake notes warning.
Concerns have been raised that fake £20 notes have been in circulation in West Kilbride during the past week.
Police Scotland have been alerted to the situation after a warning went out on local community websites that a person was trying to pass off the fake notes with a JY94 234110 serial number.
Inspector Colin Convery of Largs Police told the 'News': "Our team are going to uplift the suspected counterfeit notes."
