A PENSIONER had jewellery stolen from him while being hugged by a stranger on a Penketh street.
The 70-year-old man was targeted by two women on Withycombe Road shortly after 2pm yesterday, Wednesday.
He was approached by the two offenders in a silver car, with the pair asking him for directions to Warrington Hospital.
One of the women hugged the victim after he had given them directions, at which point a gold chain around his neck was taken before the car sped away.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number IML 383297, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
