THE Telegraph's Show Some Heart campaign has been shortlisted for a major UK journalism award.

The Making a Difference online public vote for the best local newspaper campaign of the past year goes live today (Monday) and will see our campaign supporting the Orr family's, pictured, fight to change the law and fit defibrillators into all of our schools go against 20 of the strongest campaigns from title's across Britian.

The vote will run from 9.30am on 13 May to 5pm Wednesday 15 May and the winner will be announced by News Media Association vice chairman Henry Faure Walker at the Society of Editors Regional Press Awards on Friday 17 May.

Tele editor Brian Hossack said: "We are incredibly proud of this campaign and it is a real feather in the paper's cap to be nominated against some of the biggest titles in Britian.
