The annual beach clean in West Kilbride celebrated a decade's clean sweep.
This is because it marked the 10th year of organising the event and it was very well attended with about 100 participants.
The children from West Kilbride Primary school were amongst the most enthusiastic. The clean-up was between Portencross and the Waterside Hotel, Seamill and they kindly provided snacks and drinks for the participants.
Organiser Audrey Kolon said: "Local businesses the Wee Deli and the Co-op also donated sandwiches and doughnuts and it's lovely to be part of such a great communal effort with the Keep Scotland Beautiful spring clean campaign."
