Thistle boss Stuart Davidson has called upon Largs supporters to play a key part in this Sunday’s Macron Scottish Cup final against Auchinleck Talbot.
All roads lead to Hamilton for the 4.10pm kick-off at New Douglas Park in a match which will also be televised on BBC Scotland’s dedicated Gaelic channel ALBA.
With flags and scarves decorating the Main Street, and a fleet of buses leaving the town for the big match, excitement is reaching fever pitch.
There is even the additional possibility of a place in next season’s senior Scottish Cup if Thistle can collect the famous trophy.
The match will be decided on penalties if it is a draw after 90 minutes.
Thistle boss Davidson is calling on everyone to get behind the team to help cheer them on to victory.
He enthused: “It is massive for the town, the club, and for the players.
“It is a big chapter in the players’ career - I know they will do themselves proud, and who knows, maybe we can bring the cup home.
“The message to the Thistle fans is to be louder than the Auchinleck fans!
“Talbot always turn up in their numbers and we have a hardcore squad of fans who like to be vocal.
“It might be a while before you get to a cup final, it is always hard to reach a cup final, and I know the crowd will turn up in big numbers and cheer the boys on.”
