Haylie House Care Home's family fun run returns this year on Saturday June 8.
The event caters for 5k and 10k runners and has been a popular fixture on Largs seafront in recent years.
Organiser Brian Bowden said: "While we are very kindly supported by Hallidays’ Pharmacy, the added incentive to completing the 5k or 10k course is a delicious ice cream from Geraldo’.
"This will be the 5th Family Fun Run and thanks to the donations made during events like this, improvements to the home include purchasing a mini-bus, making outings for our residents more accessible and spontaneous.
"We have also re-furbished our dining room which looks very bright, modern and refreshing.
"The next project includes upgrading the existing lounge and in particular creating a sensory garden which our residents will be able to engage with their previous experience of gardening."
The start as always is from Magnus opposite Nardini's.
The 5k course extends through to the Largs Yacht Haven where refreshments await before returning to the start point.
The 10k runners will continue to Fairlie Bowling Club before returning to the start finish line on Largs prom.
