New sign unveiled in Largs to mark D-Day 75th anniversary
A new information panel was unveiled on Largs Shorefront to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the start of the D Day Landings.
The panel was installed in front of the building Vanduara, which played a crucial role in the planning of the invasion.
As well as a brief history of Largs’ involvement at the time, the panel will include some augmented reality in the shape of a Catalina seaplane.
Provost Ian Clarkson was in attendance, along with Elected Members and members of both Largs and the Three Towns British Legions.
