Largs Lifeboat's safety officers are working hard to get the ‘’Respect the Water’’ message across to everyone.
With Summer holidays on the horizon we will see many more people around enjoying the outdoors, not just on the water but also on the land , near water where many accidents happened at the most unexpected times.
To this end a ‘Junior Community Safety Team’ has been set up.
The first member is young Morgan Thompson daughter and granddaughter of Jamie and Jim Thompson Community Safety Advisor volunteers based in Largs.
The idea is, with the help of junior volunteers it will be easier to approach the young when they see their friends are already on side.
This new junior role is a first for the RNLI Community Safety countrywide.
