Largs based MSP Jamie Greene backs Jermey Hunt for PM Jamie Greene MSP declared that he was backing Jeremy Hunt to be the next Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
The West Scotland MSP, who has an office in Fort Street, said that any candidate who wants to be Conservative Party leader and Prime Minister must show that they are 100% committed to not only protecting but strengthening Scotland’s place in the United Kingdom.
Mr Greene, pictured below, has appealed to the 160,000 Conservative Party members to back the Foreign Secretary when they cast their votes next month.
Jamie Greene MSP commented: “As a unionist I can only support somebody who is going to put Scotland’s place in the United Kingdom at the heart of their premiership. I believe that Jeremy Hunt is serious about not only protecting our place in the union but will actively work to strengthen it.
“Jeremy Hunt has a strong record in government, whether it be delivering the Olympics, integrating health and social care in NHS England or working to protect persecuted minorities across the world as Foreign Secretary.
“After a turbulent three years we need a Prime Minister who can unify the divisions and bring the country back together, I believe Jeremy Hunt is the right man for the job.”
