A Largs sailor was the winning skipper in the Round Bute sailing race last weekend.
A total of 26 yachts took part for the prestigious ‘Marquis of Bute’ trophy around the island bay.
Weather determined that the yachts sailed south bound and thanks went to the Captain of the ‘Bute’ ferry for his avoidance tactics allowing the yachts to maintain their chosen course.
The weather played its part on the day - with the overall winner being Farr E Nuff, skippered by John Kent, the retired principal of Inverclyde Sports Centre.
