A new tapas bar is to open in West Kilbride at the site of the former Chus Chus restaurant.
The 'News' understands the new eaterie is due to open in September, and will be called 'Cita Tapas'.
The restaurant will be based in the former traditional train station office building next to the railway track, and will include a bar and restaurant.
Chu Chus was a successful operation for a number of years but has been closed for several years.
The name Cita Tapas was chosen after a website competition with users getting the opportunity to vote for their favourite.
Microtech Business Intelligence have been involved in the purchase of the property and also have a number of other developments across Ayrshire on their portfolio.
The Spanish style tapas bars are growing ever popular with such eateries in the city, and in Largs.
